Today afternoon, I went to an event called College Panel. There were about ten RAs and they talked about the application process and gave advises about applying and choosing colleges. It was very helpful since I will be doing the same thing in a few months.
One important thing I learned today was that the essay is the most important section of the application. Because every applicant has pretty similar standardized test scores and school grades, the only thing that can make applicants unique is the essay. The essays should show something about each individual and make him/her different from other applicants. I am glad I went to this event and learned things about applying colleges.
